Security is one of our deepest needs. For this reason, a believer finds complete comfort and rest in the salvation experience only when this person knows that he or she is secure in Christ.

It also provides assurance that the path of this security is a path of sanctification that will bring each child of God to the point where he or she stands "holy and blameless" before the Father (Ephesians 1:4).
